Energy Citations contains bibliographic records for energy and energy-related scientific and technical information from the Department of Energy (DOE) and its predecessor agencies. The Database provides access to DOE publicly available citations from 1948 through the present, like report literature, conference papers, journal articles, books, dissertations, and patents. ISI Web of Science provides access to databases such as Science Citation Index Expanded, Social Sciences Citation Index, and Arts and Humanities Citation Index. A characteristic of these indexes is the linkage of articles by cited references. That`s why not only a search for articles by subject term, author name, journal title, or author affiliation may be performed but also a search for articles that cite an author or work. The NASA Astrophysics Data System : The Digital Library for Physics, Astrophysics, and Instrumentation (Expertise)

The NASA Astrophysics Data System Abstract Service provides a powerful search engine for each of its four bibliographic databases: Astronomy and Astrophysics, Instrumentation, Physics and Geophysics, ArXiv Preprints. Each database contains abstracts from articles and monographs published in the different disciplines. The databases cover all the major journals, many minor journals, conference proceedings, several Observatory reports and newsletters, many NASA reports, and PhD theses. Users can query the database by author, astronomical object name (astronomy database only), words in the title, and words in the abstract text. Full-text scans of much of the astronomical literature can be browsed through a Browse interface.
